Banksy unmasked after hitting Ennis Avenue again

Famed street artist “Banksy” was unable to resist hitting up Ennis Avenue one more time with a P-plate, an act he has done thousands of times before.

Alas, what he didn’t know was that Main Roads had set up a sting operation to catch the perp. So at around 5 am on Thursday morning, the cameras were waiting.

We spoke to a source close to Main Roads who said they were itching to catch the offender for years. Adding,

“When you look at the expense that has gone into sending someone out to remove the P-plate over the years, you’re in the millions of dollars ballpark. Add to that, everyone now calls the thoroughfare, Pennis Avenue, how insulting to the Ennis family or whatever”

By all accounts, Banksy was fully accepting of his fate and told the officers that he “knew this day would come” and that “Ennis Avenue is the beautiful siren calling him to his own destruction”.

Poetic and true words for anyone who has driven the stretch. While they got him on Ennis Avenue, Mains Roads is now working with police to try and get Banksy on the Cockburn sign too.

In that regard, Banksy likes to change Cockburn to Cockbum which further erodes the public confidence in the co-burn pronunciation.

This is considered high treason under Westralian Law.
