Concerns after a battalion of emus put in a bid for Leeuwin Barracks

Western Australia is on high alert this morning after it was revealed a battalion of emus related to the original army that conquered WA in 1932 had put in a compelling bid for the Leeuwin Barracks.

The Barracks are being sold as part of the Defence Department’s great asset sale to raise money for AUKUS and any actions brought by Ben Roberts-Smith trying to clear his name (probably).

A spokesbird for the Emu Battalion made an official statement consisting of menacing hissing sounds. We can only interpret this as worrisome for the nation.

A leading bird interpreter said the gist of the bird calls was that the battalion were going to “finish what their ancestors started” and “mercy will be in short supply” as “vicious beakings turn the streets red“. Yikes.

Of course, the main question being asked is why would the Defence Department even entertain an offer from our sworn enemies?

Well, a source close to AUKUS said the Defence Department was just despo for cash. Adding,

“Yeah, AUKUS is such a bad deal for us that it has the potential to bankrupt us all. We had to take our most feared navy vessel the Gero yellow submarine down to cash converters today to try and get us something to last us until the end of the week”

Truly tough times for Western Australia and indeed the world.
