A local Perth couple crushed by the weight of the mortgage after rate rise after rate rise can finally breath some relief and they have a little message for that carton of eggs at Woolies: soon, my friend, soon!
We spoke to the couple who were trying to contain their excitement at how they’d be spending the extra couple of bucks a week. Rod told The Times,
“We thought maybe we’d grab a 2fa special at the servo but my other half is smarter with money and we’re putting it away for a carton of eggs. Hopefully we’ll be enjoying some scrambled delights around September. Wait how much is butter? Oh…”
While Rod had his heart set on the excesses of scrambled eggs, his wife Jem was much more realistic. She told The Times,
“We’ll be having them poached with some salt & pepper I swiped from an unguarded cafe table. I’m not proud of it but with stagnate wage growth and unrelenting rate rises last year it was a necessity”
Sounds good guys.
