Ellenbrook Line declared a disaster as new figures reveal Perth dealing with thousands of Ellenbrook commuters every day

The Western Australian Government has apologised to the people of Perth after the new Ellenbrook Line delivered on the threat of bringing thousands of Ellenbrook residents into Perth each day.

Conceding that this was “always a possibility”, the WA Government told The Times,

“We aren’t going to sugar coat this, the people of Ellenbrook called our bluff. We wanted to build a promised piece of infrastructure but see it go unused much like the Yanchep extension. Unfortunately, Ellenbrook residents got themselves a “taste” for Perth now.

According to figures, Ellenbrook Station sees 2000 residents board every week day. That is a startling amount of Ellenbrook flooding into Perth.

We spoke to a source close to the project who said the Government was now looking at ways of “cooling off” the interest in Perth. Adding,

“The Government is conducting research into what is attracting them to Perth. They think that its perhaps a honeymoon period after being denied the fruits of Perth for so long however there are risks that Ellenbrook aren’t going anywhere and that’s something Perth has to get used to. Quick”

According to an Ellenbrook commuter, this is bang on, as he told The Times,

“My parents used to talk about Perth like it was Narnia, this mysterious big kingdom far far away. So I had to check it out and honestly it’s OK. Got nothing on Fellonbrook and that’s what I spend my day doing. Telling people in Perth that they wouldn’t last 5 minutes in the Brook”

Well, that certainly seems like time well spent.
