Fisheries have sent a stern message to the fishos around Lancelin that strict bag limits will apply after a mysterious 500kg parcel was intercepted off the coast.
Fisheries told The Times that this rare school of BLOWfish will be highly sought after by the cooked units that frequent the areas between Lancelin and Gero. Adding,
“It’s good eating, as they’d say, so we really have to ensure stocks are protected so future generations can get go on a tear and ramble on about genius start up ideas they want to get into at 3 in the morning”
While one parcel has been taken, there is no way of knowing just how much more there is floating out there. Thus the strict bag limit.
Not everyone is happy with the decree however. We spoke to a bloke who has been fishing the waters for years and he told The Times that he lives off the fat of the sea. Adding,
“Mate, who are they to tell me how much I need personally, I’ve got a big chest freezer that I could load extra fillets into so me and my family have enough for when times are lean out there and my guy isn’t getting back to me when I’ve got stuck into the froffs on a Friday night”
Nevertheless, bag limits will remain in place for the remainder of the party season.
