Gen Z turns down lucrative future as a tradie due to how many daily phone calls he’d have to make

Bailey, 16, was left absolutely horrified after riding around with his sparky uncle for a day to see if the lucrative trade was for him.

It wasn’t the work that chilled Bailey to the bone though, it was his uncle’s absolutely egregious use of the phone call function. He told The Times,

“If there’s one thing Gen Z is terrified of it’s making and receiving phone calls. Uncle Phil was constantly communicating via call, it was very distressing fr fr I don’t think this game is for me”

Indeed, Uncle Phil was a prolific phone call operator as are a wide range of tradies that rely on the quick form of communication to get work done. Massively disappointed with his nephew, he told The Times,

“He kept telling me whether I could just text my next job, I told him when you’re earning as much cash as me every second counts and I don’t have time to waddle around with my thumb up me ‘ole waiting for someone to check their phone. He’s not cut out for this role”

Of course, his uncle explained to him there were different trades that might not rely on phones so much but the work will probably be dirtier and he’d likely have a radio which is much like a phone but not as easy to ignore.

Accordingly, Bailey will continue to look into the exciting career opportunities in eSports and Twitch streaming.
