Mining billionaire Gina Rinehart has responded to the news of a possible Trump Tower on the Gold Coast with a plan of her own to honour her best mate, Donnie Trump.
It’s without questionable doubt the most radical thing to happen to the Jutland Parade foreshore ever. A 91 storey Trump Tower that will block more than a few million-dollar views – possibly even those of Kerry Stokes – if only he still had a newspaper to rally against it!
We spoke to a source close to Gina who said the project had “better” get the green light. Especially as she was still licking her wounds over getting denied a helipad in West Perth. Adding,
“The tower will be designed around her own property so her views aren’t blocked but she’ll still essentially get to live within the Trump Tower. It’s about as close as you can feel to Trump in Australia and that’s clearly what she desires”
Objections to the plan are flowing in thick and fast. With Dalkeith residents thinking the development doesn’t fit in with the character of the area. With one adding,
“How frightfully ghastly! I do like what President Trump is doing to ethnics but must be we have such a garish tower in Dalkeith? Seems like more of a Peppermint Grove type of vulgarity”
While neighbours across the Swan in suburbs like Applecross or Mosman Park say they don’t want to have to look at that monstrosity every time they walk out onto their own million dollar balconies. Even comparing it to a big golden red rocket.
We understand that the Orange President is pleased with the offering and may show his appreciation through the medium of illegal tariffs when he sees fit.
How lucky for Dalkeith.
