The Australian Government has announced it will be halving the fuel excise which will save motorists 26c a litre.
This comes as particularly good news for diesel motorists who can look forward to only paying close to $3 a litre for fuel rather than over $3. What a win.
We spoke to a Ford Ranger driver who said life can pretty go back to normal after diesel rose around $1.40 in the past month, adding,
“Yeah, $20 in my pocket every trip to the servo will help me forget about the many other dollars I’ve had to sink into this big piece of American shit since the Iran war”
Another diesel car owner said he was looking forward to sinking that $20 odd bucks right into the 2fa deals. Arguably negating the benefit of the excise cut. However, who are we to judge a man and his opportunistic consumerism?
Typically, fuel companies have told motorists to hold their horsepowers, as they are desperately thinking of a new reason to raise the cost of fuel by 26c given the public have 26c extra per litre to spend with them now.
They are cute like that.
