Mandurah to burn massive Mozzie coils in its pippy to help get pests under control

Mandurah has decided to use one of its most valuable assets in the fight against mosquitoes this summer – the famous Mandurah crackpipe.

Taking inspiration from the estuaries lookalike, Mandurah will be burning massive mozzie coils and sending clouds of repellant across the suburbs to drive out the blood-sucking pests.

We spoke to a source close to the program who said the inspiration came from the City’s population itself. Adding,

“The good people of Mandurah do a cracking job, excuse the pun, of keeping people away by having a twirl, so we thought we could implement that strategy on a bigger level and keep mozzies away from the area around the big pippy”

The massive mozzie coils will be stuck onto steady foundations in the inlet and have enough material to burn for 7 nights straight – again taking inspiration from the population.

We spoke to a Mandurah resident who said he was thrilled the Council was finally getting serious about the issue. Adding,

“I can actually see this working and what a great way to utilise our big pipe. I’m all for it as a ratepayer and a man who is ravaged by the little cunnys every summer”

Big things happening in Mandurah.
