The Western Australian Government is seeking answers after vendors at the Perth Royal Show reported far smaller crowds than previous years.
In fact, the annual British Dental Awareness Festival in Butler attracted more people in two days than the Royal Show did in over a week.
We spoke to one of 6 people who attended the Dental Festival who said the energy was electric this year. Adding,
“It’s important Aussies know that we aren’t all Colgate-dodgers innit, I think we’ll need more parking next year after Barry said he was going to bring his in-laws from Birmingham”
A spokesperson for the WA Government told The Times that if the Royal Show can’t match the ghost town of the BDAF then they were in strife. Adding,
“Let’s not beat around the bush, the British Dental Awareness Festival is an absolute fizzer every year up in Butler so it’s pretty alarming the Royal Show couldn’t get a better turn out! Could this be the end of the Royal Show?”
Many blame the high cost of ticket prices, rides and food at the Royal Show for the low turnout. However, others believe that people are just suddenly beginning to realise how awful an experience it really is.
