TransPerth has proudly announced it is roaring into the mid 2010s today by announcing that commuters will be able to pay for their fare with a Timezon Powercard – the most useful card in their wallets.
A source close to TransPerth told The Times that the initiative was about making access easier for commuters. Adding,
“This technology has been around for a while and TransPerth know that your average punter in the early 2000s would always be rocking a fully charged Timezone Powercard, how could you not? So this just makes sense”
To recharge your Powercard, you can either head to your nearest Timezone or you can visit a local Deli, acquire a Telstra phonecard, call a toll free number and manually enter your details with the keypad, the process will only take about 20 minutes.
Of course, many commuters are wondering what will happen if you forget your Timezone Powercard. Our source continued,
“Well, the Powercard will be replacing the SmartRider so if you forget it you’ll have to hope the ticket machine in the station isn’t cactus, which it probably will be, I’d probably just recommend not getting on the train”
Well there you go. Perth, you modern thing, you.
