WA footy fans urged to start lining up last week to get through new ticket system

Perth Stadium has made an extraordinary plea to both Dockers and Eagles fans ahead of this weekend’s footy matches.

Due to a new ticketing system being implemented, fans have been told to start lining up sometime last week to ensure they get through the gates in time to watch the centre throw-up.

We spoke to a source close to the AFL who said any time a new ticketing system was implemented it was likely to be a clusterfuck of monumental proportions. Adding,

“Just look what happened at Origin and I don’t even think that was to do with a new ticketing system. If the stadium can shit the proverbial bed when its business as usual, we don’t even want to think about what is likely to happen when there is something new to contend with”

We spoke to a Dockers’ fan who said he appreciated the heads up but was unable to make plans now to start lining up last week. Adding,

“It’s all well and good to tell us that we should have been camped out in the line last Friday but how do I square that with my boss? Or even the laws of space & time that govern the physical world that we know and love?”

Well, that isn’t their problem. Get a time machine or watch the game on the giant TV out the front of the stadium, pal.
