WA spends $1 million on campaign to remind the Eastern States we have a dry heat

Hot off a campaign to remind the Eastern States that we are owed our share of GST revenue, the Government has launched a fresh campaign to remind them of another important factoid.

The campaign is titled, “Perth, it’s a dry heat” and aims to raise awareness of the collective delusion of Perth dwellers that the heat we experience is devoid of any moisture at all.

The campaign will feature prominently on billboards, newspapers and even radio ads. A source close to WA told The Times,

“Money well spent if you ask me. There’s nothing worse than accommodating a whinging Eastern Stater who visits in March and starts dropping the H word. It’s not humid, it’s dry, alright? And I’ll go full Bob Katter on you if you say otherwise”

Many are doubtful that the campaign will be effective in changing the minds of Eastern State dillpickles. An expert on Westralian/East relations told The Times,

“The Eastern State mind can’t comprehend our weather. They’ll start sweating and take that as a sign of humidity. Just peasants, the lot of them. So we doubt this will be an effective campaign unfortunately”

Nevertheless, with any luck the campaign can change just a few minds and get people to start giving WA the respect it’s due when it comes to dryness of heat.
