European football fans have been left devastated today after learning the hyped AC Milan v Como Italian-fest has been cancelled.
It would’ve marked a historic event given the league has never played a game for points outside of Europe. Alas, negotiations fell apart.
Not to worry however! Because the State Government has lined up a Balcatta pool party for the fans of the teams so they can get their Italian diving fix elsewhere.
A spokesperson for the WA Government told The Times,
“If people want to see Italians diving then we can provide them that. All you have to do is take home an enormous garbage bag full of lemons on your way home. That’s the deal, that’s the price of admission”
We spoke to a Como fan who said the replacement was satisfactory. Adding,
“Seeing Italians with lots of money stashed away dive is about as close to the real experience as we’re going to get. I can’t wait to show my boy how the pros do it”
Fans are also asked to expect to man the pool scoop to deal with the troublesome amount of body hair that may become dislodged during the vigorous displays of diving.
