BOM apologises after accidentally slugging taxpayers $92 million for a night out at Crazy Horse

The Bureau of Meteorology has come under fire again after it was revealed it accidentally submitted an expense for froffs at Adelaide’s famous Crazy Horse.

In a statement supplied directly to The Times, BOM said it was a mistake:

“We apologise we didn’t know what we’d walked into. We thought we were attending a website redesign seminar but yeah it became apparent after we spent $92 million that the seminar had an awful lot of glitter and tassels”

It is not good timing, given the public is still fuming over reports their poorly designed website came in at a staggering $92 million over budget.

We spoke to a key insider who said heads were going to roll over this. Adding,

“$92 million! And they expect the tax payer to cover it again! Outrageous from BOM. How many damn froffs did they buy?”

We understand that BOM will now be paying the expenses themselves.
