Boomers warned as Perth kid plans to dress as a Daylight Saving referendum for Halloween

A young family has caused a stir today after previewing their kid’s Halloween costume on social media.

To the horror of traditionally older or rural born Westralians, the costume is of a dreaded Daylight Saving referendum. Some are saying the family has gone too far.

We spoke to a member of the community who feared for his parent’s blood pressure, telling The Times,

“It’s a double whammy for boomers isn’t it? Not only is it Halloween but its an issue that greatly distresses them. The fact they’ve gone with a cow is just a step too far!?”

However, others in the community don’t look upon the diary cow of change with any dread at all. With some saying they support the costume and it brought them great joy. Another bloke told The Times,

“I’ll be giving that kid extra lollies if I see him. Wait, that sounds a bit Prince Andrew, you know what I mean, I like his style”

Of course, it’s not just the elderly that oppose Daylight Saving in WA so the costume is bound to cause offence to other groups. However, those younger groups probably manage to accept kids having fun on Halloween and not carry on like a weatherd old curmudgeon over it.

Truly diabolical.
