The Times has received reports that Gina Rinehart’s West Perth helipad is set to be knocked back over fears it will stress out local Facebook community group admins.
West Perth is dense and contains residential sections. They also are no strangers to helicopter activity due to nearby hospitals and, of course, the constant stream of cracktivities that West Perth is known for.
Needless to say, community group admins around this notorious area are already at pressure point. So even 1 more chopper in the sky could cause them unspeakable grief.
We spoke to an admin of neighbouring suburb who wished to remain nameless. She told The Times,
“Do you know how many posts we have to approve when a helicopter flies over? It’s relentless. People literally cannot continue to function in their daily lives until they know the exact purpose of every single fkn helicopter”
The City of Perth heard endless submissions from admins pleading them to not approve any structure that would likely bring more choppers into the area.
In fact, event he mention of helicopters saw the City of Perth swamped with queries asking if anyone knew what’s going on with those helicopter plans. They had to hire 10 temporary new councillors just to get through the correspondence.
We understand that Gina Rinehart has called on Basil to be reinstated as mayor to help get this helipad over the line.
