Perth has thanked Pitbull aka Mr Worldwide for once again proving to the international music scene that Perth is indeed part of the world.
They say that your shithole backwater City doesn’t exist until Pitbull graces its turf and Perth has received its second nod from the Miami beat after last touring in 2012.
While Perth gets overlooked slightly less often it is still the redheaded step child of the Australian tour circuit. A spokesperson for Pitbull told The Times,
“Pitbull has always been a big believer in the existence of Perth and will tell anyone who will listen about it. He’s on a mission to raise awareness of Perth”
Obviously, not everyone is convinced, we spoke to a source from a major label in the US who told The Times,
“Yeah you hear rumours about Perth existing but I don’t think anyone really looks into it. It may as well be the lost City of Atlantis. No one wants to add another 4.5 hour flight to the tour pal”
Fair enough.
