The RAC has sought to deflect accusations it is selling out Western Australia on an insurance deal by revealing it has also sought to sell its naming rights deal it has with Perth Stadium.
A source close to the RAC told The Times that the RAC thought the Kylie & Jackie O show was a good fit and was engaged in robust commercial negotiations between all parties involved to make it work. Adding,
“Just like IAG, the Kyle & Jackie O show is all about serving Western Australians. If anything, WA will be better off by looking at Kyle’s bloated mug on the stadium every day”
Naturally, some are sceptical and have put RAC to task and asked them how selling the business to Eastern States could possibly be better for sandgropers.
Our source said the company understands the frustration around the move to potential offshore call centres but they have a most elegant solution, adding,
“Apparently, Optus has put their hand up to help out with the call centres, if IAGs are too busy then WA customers can reach the ones Optus use and made sure all those important warnings about 000 calls failing got passed on”
Well, when they put it like that, what a deal. What a deal.
