Sydney Swans relocate to Western Australia to save time on recruitment

The Sydney Swans have made the bold move to relocate their HQ to Perth, Western Australia after deciding it would be more efficient than wasting valuable coin on flights to poach WA footy greats.

The move comes after the Swans announced Matthew “Quadzilla” Pavlich would be their new CEO, joining Dean “We got Big” Cox who is now the coach.

We spoke to a source close to the Swans who said the move made sense, adding,

“Swans have a fever and the only prescription is Western Australian hall of famers. With the new office in Perth, Sydney will be able to lure stars far easier to try and give the grand final chokers a bit of WA x-factor”

When we asked the source is Sydney would consider developing their own future leadership they told us “absolutely not” and urged WA to keep churning out the greats for them.

Accordingly, a warning has been sent out to many current and future hall of famers to be on their toes as Sydney has a voracious appetite.

Not everyone is happy about the move, with South Melbourne fans demanding to know why they didn’t choose to set up shop in the heartland and recruit good ol Victorian talent.

The Swans released a short statement stating that with Geelong in the mix, there really was no point trying to compete for Vic talent until they’d expanded their farming property portfolio.

Fair enough.
