A deluded tourist who believes he is god’s gift to the world has viciously lashed out at other tourists for doing the same touristy thing as him.
It’s his contention that tourists are ruining the popular spot that he, as a visitor, has chosen to also visit. He told The Times,
“Man, Kyoto used to be so cool before all the tourists caught on, now it’s just full of tourists, ughh, I’m an enlightened traveller, a friend to Japan, these other people are just brutes”
Skeptical, we spoke to a few Japanese locals who were characteristically polite. However, the devil was in the detail as one told The Times,
“They are all the same to us”
This wasn’t what old mate wanted to hear. In fact, he believes Japan should cap their tourist numbers and limit them to white Australians who tell other Australians in Australia how the correct way to eat sushi is. He continued,
“Why should I have to share the land of the rising sun with people who don’t know ginger is a palate cleanser? Like, yeah, I’m going to visit Soapland with someone who mixes wasabi and soy sauce! Yeah right!”
Well, all we can say is, thankyou Japan for taking this guy off our hands for a while.
