Western Australia has emerged as one of the big winners from Albo’s meeting with President Trump today.
The pair sealed the deal on a $3B US-Oz investment in each country’s respective critical minerals production line. Obviously, WA leads the way in many of the most sought after minerals.
As part of the deal, Trump acknowledged that the cornerstone of the WA mining industry – the Qantas Lounge at Perth Airport – was in need of a little love. Claiming that standards had slipped while Biden was President.
In a rambling statement President Trump told The Times,
“People always tell me, President Trump the standards are slipping at Qantas, they do, some loser called Joyce dropped the ball, he did, sad! But let me tell you Qantas Lounge will be great again! The food will be great! The service! Tremendous things are happening because I know how to deal, I do”
Some are sceptical, alleging that the President is only keeping the WA workforce happy so they can diligently mine minerals for his ongoing resource-war with China.
However, others believe that the overpriced veneer of class that the Qantas Lounge represents is a perfect fit for Trump. Those believe that he truly does want to see a return to the golden age of the Qantas Lounge.
