Update on new Westralia public holidays

Sadly, the Government didn’t go with Clive Denied Day or The Great Hail Storm of 2010 day but on the assumption the amendments pass this is what will be served up for the long weekend slopthusiasts and BCF ambassadors of Westralia from 2028:

Easter Saturday finally gets a call up to the big leagues, joining its far more famous associates Friday, Sunday & Monday.

Sausage Finger day aka the Kingy B will move to the second Monday of June due to a general lack of interest.

Show Day (yes, really) will come in hot on the first Monday of the September/October school holidays. So you can waste a precious day off crammed together with the who’s who of a P&O cruise wall of shame.

WA Day will move to the second Monday in November to ensure better weather for the public to finally enjoy that Guy Sebastian concert they want so badly

Labour day will move to the second Monday in March. Possibly to align with everyone’s favourite Round 0 for the footy. Rumours are the AFL will be reducing the number of games to 0 after the success of just 2 games this year.
