The Western Australian Government has announced that WA will be getting another public holiday to celebrate the hilarity of denying Clive Palmer access to our State in 2020 – “Clive Denied Day”.
The refusal of entry came when WA closed off its borders and Clive’s reason for wanting to enter wasn’t deemed necessary or important enough.
This sent the mining magnate on somewhat of a rampage against WA, particularly because other local billionaires were able to come and go as they pleased. Thus cementing his place in Westralian folklore with faield lawsuit after failed lawsuit against both WA and Emperor Marko.
We asked a Westralian citizen how he planned to celebrate Clive Denied Day. He told us,
“I think the most obvious thing would be flinging out several hundred unsolicited text messages. Then I think we’ll have a BBQ and plan a mertiless High Court action”
Another Westralian told The Times that he was going to start a tradition where he will get an unliked uncle to dress as Clive and all the kids can deny him entry to the BBQ by locking the gate.
The public holiday will therefore fall in mid May with the exact date to be determined.
