AC/DC rededicates ‘Highway to Hell’ to Tonkin Highway after trip to Byford

AC/DC reportedly made an unwise decision to go on a little excursion after landing in Perth yesterday.

Known for their love of hellish Highways, a local guide suggested they bang it down the Tonkin to the sunny land of Byford for a little look around.

Naturally, the band unanimously agreed that their hit song ought to be dedicated to this diabolical stretch of arterial clusterfuckery. A source told The Times,

“They were genuinely shocked at why everyone was driving so angrily out that way. That’s even before they got to Byford and almost slipped a few discs on a gaping pothole that looked like it wanted to swallow them up into the underworld”

At no point while driving down Tonkin did they feel at ease. With tailgating, aggressive cutting off and uneccessary speed limit changes cursing the journey. With a band minder telling The Times,

“Yikes, do people really have to commute on this stretch every day? I’d rather get a prostate exam from Eddie Scissorhands”

Their trip only went downhill from there after finding themselves in the back country where they noticed local houses weren’t too accommodating to visitors. Our source continued,

“They took a wrong turn and just used this blokes driveway to spin around and he came charging out of his house rambling about how he won’t be tread on and won’t comply or someshit”

They also noted they’d never seen quite so many people in HiVis clothing yet not seemingly engaged in gainful employment in any way.

Unless, of course, throwing empty bourbon cans at cars while overtaking dangerously is considered a job. Which in Byford, it may just be.

Accordingly, the band will be rededicating their hit song to the highway at their two Perth concerts.
