The AFL has announced that in hindsight it had wasted its and everyone else’s time with this wildcard malarkey after it failed to get Collingwood into the finals.
In a cracker of a game, the Doggies put an end to the Wobbler’s dreams and the AFL have been left scratching their heads to why they went and fucked up a perfectly good thing.
A source close to the AFL said the decision to scrap the wildcard round was a no-brainer, adding,
“What’s the fkn point of it now? All the AFL wanted is for their darlings to play more finals games and reap the financial benefits that came with it, why do you think they dogged the Doggies on their home fixture?”
There is still a small slither of hope for the AFL with the Blue Baggers playing tonight, however, the mood around AFL is glum. Our source continued,
“Yeah Carlton would be alright, it’d soothe the burn but the damage has been done, god, they did everything they could to get that team through and for what! No good deed goes unpunished ay?”
Looks like the AFL will have to go back to the drawing board on how to continue to ruin our great game by milking it for money.
