Google has sent the Australian Government a video outlining their legal position on YouTube being included in the under 16s social media ban.
Sadly, the lawyers tasked with reviewing the video couldn’t handle sitting through two 20 second unskippable ads in a row.
A spokesperson for the Australian Government told The Times,
“Yeah, fark that, infuriating, we just want to know the basis for their claims, not sit through these ads, they also started talking about manscaping tools half way through”
Google has responded by telling the Aussie Government to upgrade to a premium subscription to skip the ads. With a source close to the tech giant telling The Times,
“No one will be spared our relentless hunger for ads. If we find out the Australian Government has installed an ad blocker we will come at them even harder”
Words to be wary of, no doubt.
