Bluff Knoll received a dusting of snow yesterday – somewhat comparable to a math’s professor’s dandruff cascading majestically down his blazer in the warm projector light.
Naturally, this will motivate people to come from far and wide to make the journey up WA’s Everest to enjoy the barely measurable quantity of white stuff.
Of course, this has lead authorities to remind backpackers that the proper way to get up the Knoll is with your legs and under no circumstances should anyone take a Mitsubishi Delica off road in an attempt to get up there faster.
A source close to the local authorities told The Times that a Delica would almost certainly get stuck attempting the feat and Maxtrax would offer little reprieve in the unforgiving landscape.
We spoke to a French backpacker who said he’d quietly scrapped his plans to ascend the Knoll in his trusty workhorse after certain events last week. Adding,
“I bought this off some other faux-Euro-hippies in Yallingup so I really don’t know how roadworthy it is. Maybe the Bluff isn’t in the Delica’s wheelhouse?”
To everyone going by foot, enjoy the walk and remember it doesn’t count unless you get a snow selfie.
