BMX, Surfing, riding the Mandurah & Thornlie trainlines – Cockburn shaping up to be the extreme activity home of Perth

The City of Cockburn has all but cemented its place as the extreme activity hub of Perth after announcing a world class BMX park will be opening tomorrow.

The $8.9M facility at Malabar Park will be joined by the Cockburn Wave Park next year. If those aren’t enough thrills to seek, the City of Cockburn has also recently been connected to the Thornlie trainline.

A local thrill seeker said he was “stoked” at the direction Cockburn was going in. Adding,

“For years I was just getting my thrills riding on the Mandurah line so it’s good to have a few more options now. Cockburn is going real extreme and I rate that”

WA Health professionals have questioned whether so much white knuckling adrenaline pumping fun is safe. With one insider telling us,

“The BMXing and surfing are fine but taking the Mandurah line and the Thornlie line on the same day? Let’s just say they better increase the number of defibs around”

Indeed. Stay tuned for more gnarly updates.
