City of Kwinana to install parking meters on Freeway to capitalise on Perth’s biggest car park

The City of Kwinana has seen a wonderful opportunity to make some cash after accepting the 2 lane abomination that runs through its City is better characterised as a car park than a freeway.

The parking meters will be installed on that filthy stretch between Mortimer and Thomas Rd and are expected to pull in several millions of dollars in revenue a day.

A source close to the City told The Times,

“It was either Wilsons or them, you can’t just have a giant car park go unmonetised in this day and age. They’ll offer a token one hour free offer but we all know you won’t be getting off that sack-of-shitway anywhere near just an hour”

The revenue on long weekends is expected to finance the City of years to come. With some keen Douthers regularly spending days camped on the Freeway waiting for some movement.

We spoke to a  Down South enthusiast who said it would be practically impossible to escape the parking officers due to the complete inability to move an inch. Adding,

“Fish in a barrel mate, sometimes it’s just completely FUBAR in the middle of the day on a regular week day but the Down South traffic is brutal, I spent most of 2024 parked on that fkn thing”

Big things coming to Kwinny.
