ECU Eyes Merger of its Own with TAFE in Bid to Reclaim Super TAFE Crown

Decades before ECU had a brand spankin’ building in the CBD it was half-jokingly referred to as SuperTAFE by Perth locals.

This was due to its roots as the Western Australian College of Advanced Education that got the tap on the shoulder to join the big Uni leagues in 1991.

Although it appears life has gone full cycle again as ECU now start seeing the benefit in embracing its former deoragtory nickname.

A source close to ECU told The Times that vocational courses were as in demand as ever and the Government was absoluitely chucking money at it,

“It’s fairly clear WA needs a big ol slice of what TAFE offers more than ever, especially nurses and tradies, so ECU would be crazy not to try and get back in on that”

Pursuant to the merger, the institution formerly known as ECU will become the largest TAFE Australia has ever seen and will seek special permission for a city car park to give students the quintissential TAFE experience,

“If you can’t do a burnout in the car park before class then are you truly at TAFE? They’ll have to find room somewhere, even if its a multi story kinda drifting tower, that’d work for them”

Indeed it would.
