Elon Musk Launches GoFundMe After Australia Demands He Pay to Remove SpaceX Rocket Floating Off Christmas Island

Clearly Elon Musk is feeling the pinch of dropping to lowly billionaire status again after he launched a GoFundMe to help with the cost of recovering his SpaceX rocket from the waters of Christmas Island.

He posted the fundraiser to his X account last night and told his followers,

“Australia is making me clean up after myself and I reckon the towing fee is going to run into the many thousands of dollars, help! I’m not a trillionaire, I can’t afford it right now!”

Obviously, many punters came to the impoverished goofballs aid, with one donor calling themselves “Gina” chucking in a sizable $200k, with a comment,

“They should give you Christmas Island for free”

At the time of publishing this article, the fundraiser had gained close to $5M which should at least pay for a pre-pre-feasibility study into the operation to get the rocket back to the USA.

The pre-feasibility study is likely going to cost another $10M before the feasibility study costing about $50M.

Clearly Elon needs a hand!

Speaking of fundraiser, if you’d like to help the BTT consider chucking in some beer money
