Perth storm cancellation forces media to warn city of catastrophic drizzle and damaging puddles

WA media has been forced to warn citizens about catastrophic drizzle and potentially damaging puddles after the storm alert for the Perth metro region was cancelled.

Why?

Well, you wouldn’t read about it.

The BoM weather warning, which was largely going to impact the South West, had been sensationalised by WA media as though Perth was about to be swallowed by the fucking ocean.

So when the BoM cancelled the storm warning for Perth they were perhaps feeling a little foolish so to keep up the energy they had to find a different way to spin the clicks.

We spoke to a weather insider who told The Times,

“BoM will release warnings based on certain criteria they have to release said warnings. What they’d hope is the media would communicate those messages with context in mind, naturally, this failing industry that relies on Government handouts and clickbait don’t do that, they take any warning that COULD affect Perth as the headline, so they weren’t about to have egg on their face were they? The genius of it is that their shitty reporting just turns people against BoM so they can wash their hands, genius ay?”

The media went on to tell people to be extra cautious of fuckwits in Ford Rangers splashing them with the water pooled by the side of the road while they waited to cross.

They also alerted people to the VERY real prospect of encountering a frolicking duck. Oh the HUMANITY.

Just another day in WA, as they say.
