Perth’s North Claim Moral Victory For Predicted Record Breaking WA Test Turnout for The Ashes

Pretty much every suburb north of Hepburn Avenue have announced a moral victory after it was reported the WA “West Test” is on track to break attendance records.

Even before general admission tickets have gone on sale, it appears the first day will be a sell out and with the amount of interest the trend is likely to continue into the later days.

A representative of Perth’s North told The Times,

“If left to the Aussies this test would be another chance for the rest of Australia to call for test cricket to be banned here. So it’s a good thing you got us lot here innit, we are officially claiming the moral victory for this one”

Not everyone is happy with the decree. With many Aussies saying they are absolutely itching to see the Aussie pace attack put England in their place.

Similarly, the strong English contingent in Rockingham isn’t happy with the North taking all the credit. Adding that they bleed limey just the same and have shown massive interest in The Ashes.

This, of course, is horrible news for Eastern State’s journalists who will have to find something else to write about in November.

One can only assume they’ll have to analyse the crowd to pick faults in the quality if not the quantity. What else are they gonna do? Journalism?
