Police reveal early reports Charizard was seen on CCTV at Morley Markets were mistaken

WA Police are slowly revealing the extent of the confusion around early reports the Morley Markets fire was deliberately lit.

With the Commissioner revealing that investigators were mistaken over early CCTV footage that was believed at the time to show the Pokemon Charizard at the scene.

A source close to WA Police told The Times,

“We sympathise with the business owners who in the space of a day went from thinking it was a deliberate act by a malevolent pokemon to a simple electrical fault. We will be looking into whether anyone was playing Pokemon Go at the time”

However, others in the community aren’t convinced. With many thinking the infamous Pokemon should still be investigated. We spoke to a leading expert who told us,

“Pretty convenient that they report the presence of Charizard, a well known protagonist, and then all that goes away later in the day, what has Charizard got on the police?

As of last night, the police say that the exact cause of the fire may now never be known due to the extensive damage.

More to come.
