A radical plan by the WA private schools will see elite private school kids get an additional 3 months of holidays to help them better transition into what their lives will be like.
A PSA old boy said he was concerned at the current schedule as his eldest boy had unrealistic expectations on days he’d need to clock in at the family firm. Adding,
“The boy was ill quipped to handle taking 6 months off a year to go to to Europe or the family ski lodge in Canada. It’s about realistic expectations! He should only be going to school for half the year”
This man’s sentiments were echoed by private school teachers who agreed with the initiative. With one speaking anonymously to The Times,
“What’s the point of some of them being here? They know nepotism will get them through life and frankly they are little turds, less of them the better!”
Some consider the proposal to be disrespectful to public schools who already get less holidays. However a source close to the Government told The Times,
“Let’s face it, if you aren’t given the kind of leg up in life these little silverspooners get you’ll be breaking your back for most of your life. So don’t get too used to the concept of a holiday. You’ll get your 4 weeks a year like every other bozo and you’ll probably do nothing because all your money is tied up in rental payments”
Indeed.
