The footy world is begging West Coast to please “do it again” and put a stop to the relentless Collingwood-fest we have all been subjected to in the lead up to Pendlebury’s milestone game.
While no doubt a great achievement, the VFL has once again overcooked it like a McCain’s pizza in a drunk’s oven. With one footy fan saying,
“You just know they wanted to rename the MCG The Pendlebury for the day but someone talked them down, it should of been a dignified occasion but it’s just become a full-scale milk factory”
Accordingly, the footy world is praying for an Eagles victory to help balance the ledger.
However, such an audacious move by a professional football team would be seen as “against the spirit of the VFL” with Gay Lyon probably saying,
“West Coast need to play their role and respect a legend, anything less than a 100 point defeat should see them kicked out of the competition”
Fingers crossed, it may be unlikely but my gosh it’d be satisfying.
