A Western Australian car seller knows what he’s got and he isn’t making any price concessions for the severe sun damage on his vehicle.
According to the seller, the sun damage is a tasteful patina and, if anything, should add value to his chariot. He told The Times,
“Do you have any idea how much work I’ve put into the aesthetic of this vehicle? It’s a 2009 Camry with 200k on the clock so I reckon $20k is a fair asking price, no low ballers!”
Surprisingly, the only bites the seller has got so far is from people messaging him after seeing his ad on Marketplace to call him a goose.
We spoke to one potential buyer who said he told the man that the car would need a fresh paint job at considerable expense to the buyer. Adding,
“How rusty is that thing going to cop without a major intervention? I told him I’d give him $3k and he said he’d follow me home if I ever messaged him again”
A reminder to all potential buyers to not offend this seller any futher. After all, as he said, he knows what he’s got.
