Warship tender winner Mitsubishi agrees to let WA make one green and another red to appeal to the Aussie population

Australians didn’t know what to think when Mitsubishi Heavy Industries won the deal to provide Australia with warships recently.

That was until the Japanese behemoth told the Australian Government that they will permit one to be painted green and one red on honour of a coupla Aussie legends.

Some of the frigates will be built in Japan and the rest will be built right here in WA. Which makes the gesture even more fitting. A source close to Japan told The Times,

“There is much honour in gurning off your trolley to Andy C at Metros. Much like a Frigate, many Aussies were absolute weapons on the red and green Mitsis so we want to pay homage to that”

We spoke to the Aussie military who said there were even strategic advantages to the paint jobs. Adding,

“A fully green or red ship swinging all over the ocean like a jaw at 4am? Yeah that’s going to scare some enemies. We support this initiative”

The paint jobs will be done once the ships are built at Henderson on due course.

Oh what a feeling!
