West Coast choose magic beans over priority picks after asking the AFL for draft help

The AFL is aware the West Coast Eagles had planned on requesting draft help so proactively reached out to the club to make them an offer.

It was either priority picks of up-and-coming stars or a mysterious handful of magic beans. A source close to the AFL told The Times,

“The AFL was clear that the magic beans could go either way, either grow into a mighty premiership-stalk to lead them to the prized silverware or could doom them for another decade at the bottom”

Clearly, being maestros with pick usage, the Eagles have apparently gone all in on the magic beans. A source close to the WA former powerhouse told The Times,

“Look, we need instant results, there is a chance Flagmantle will be in a granny soon and honestly we can’t handle the shame of priority picks AND a purple premiership, unless of course, if it’s them beating Collingwood, then I think we could deal with it”

The magic beans will be planted at Lathlain Oval and the entire leadership team will watch on with great interest.

While it’s a gamble, it could be all West Coast has got right now. In fact, they are relying so heavily on this strategy that a permanent guard on the lookout for Sam Mitchell has been established.

According to insiders, Mitchell “wants them beans”.Documenting the Human Zoo is thirsty work, so if you enjoyed what you read how about buying Belle a beer, ay?
