West Coast fan quietly confident other fanbases won’t bring up the AFL assistance package in future arguments

A West Coast Eagles fan has told his friends today that he is quietly confident no other supporter base will bring up the assistance package in future arguments.

He went on to say that he’d put good money on no one even mentioning it by the end of the week. A witness at the scene told The Times,

“Why? Why would anyone bring it up when it isn’t a fraction of what North Melbourne got! And we are in a far more dire situation! Complete non story, it’ll be dissipated into the ether by Thursday”

Not everyone shares the young man’s enthusiasm. To get another point of view we asked his Eagles supporting best mate who told The Times,

“We will never live this down. It’s truly a dark day for the club but honestly, anything to avoid having to sit through another season like the ones we’ve had. It’s a savage garden”

We decided to check with a random member of the Dockers supporter base. We asked him if he thinks this will be good ammo for future arguments. He told The Times,

“Bringing this up will literally be my final words, as I lay down on the hospital bed. I will NEVER let this go”

Well then.
