Willetton skatepark to be converted into an octagon after Jack Della Maddalena puts Willo on the map

Move over skating, Willetton is synonymous with a new extreme sport now: MMA thanks to local legend Jack Della Maddalena.

Kids from all over the world who saw Jack win on the weekend are now begging their parents to take them to the promised land of Willetton to see the environment where champions were made.

It should also be noted that the area has long been used by local youths for that very purpose so it’s really not a big stretch.

Accordingly, Willetton has made the tough decision to convert the skate park into a UFC Octagon. A spokesperson for the suburb told The Times,

“Let’s face it, skating has had its day, now kids all over Perth want to become the next UFC champion. We hope that one day we could have professional fights in the octagon but for now it will just be a handy place for people to work out their differences after flying in a rage in the Southlands car park -there are some truly awful drivers around”

Aquinas College, where Jack attended school, is also considering adding MMA to its curriculum to boost enrolments.

The octagon will be open from the end of the month. It should also be noted that Willetton has made the positive PR move as a way to distract from the other Willo star – Luke Jackson – looking to disrespect the mighty Flagmantle. IF the reports are true.

Given the circus surrounding this move already, anything is possible.
