Freight Companies Move Operations to Public Transport to Tackle Soaring Fuel Prices

Major WA freight companies have decided to utilise Perth’s affordable public transport to battle the ever-increasing costs of fuelling up their trucks.

In a world first, pallets are being loaded directly onto Transperth busses and trains in what is being described as a bit of a cheeky move.

A freight transportation insider told The Times that the idea actually came from a certified forkie,

“So a forkie was telling all his coworkers that after he lost his licence for driving like a pelican he saved a tonne of cash catching the bus to work, this got back to head office who said he was onto something”

So far, the plan has been going smoothly with only a few negative interactions with bus drivers over taking too long to load up the bus.

However, lowkey, many bus drivers prefer the freight to go in and on the bus as it saves them having to have arguments over correct change with public transport denizens. With one adding,

“A pallet of pet food has never tried to fight me, so I turn a blind eye to it, plus a pallet doesn’t moan when I smash the accelerator before they’ve had a chance to sit”

Well, it appears to be a net win for society.
