A fresh hobby farmer has made positive inroads with his farming neighbours this week by saving them the trouble of having to open their own gate leading to a paddock with dozens of head of cattle.
The hobby farmer was showing his grand kids the majestic animals after letting himself in unannounced. He told The Times,
“We all hate messing about with latches and chains, ya know, so I thought I’d save old mate the time and just left ‘er open. I’m quietly confident he’ll be over with some cold ones to thank me for my consideration”
Not only will the farmer not have to bother himself with the complexities of unchaining the gate but his cattle got to go on a well needed adventure.
We spoke to the farmer who was busy preparing a fresh batch of scones to say thankyou. Adding,
“Oh, I’ll be visiting him soon, real soon, nothing I love more than getting a call that my cows are tearing down the main road, what would we do without good neighbours?”
Asked how the rural life came so natural to him, the hobby farmer told The Times,
“One doesn’t simply own an Akunra and fresh pair of RMs without learning a thing or two about country relations”
Good luck.
