Qualified tradie admits he couldn’t have done it without the Bunnings weekend-warrior overseeing his every step

A fully qualified tradie has taken his metaphorical hat off to a client today who painstakingly watched his every move while performing a fairly basic job.

The client who introduced himself as a Bunnings PowerPass holder took the entire day off work to “supervise” the man and impart all the wisdom he’d picked up from a lifetime of Bunnings weekend warrioring. The tradesman told The Times,

“It’s good to have someone so qualified lending a hand. It came as news to me but apparently I was holding my tools wrong. Not to mention being repeatedly asked whether I’d shut the power off before working. I’d never think to do that”

We spoke to the client who said he was happy to help. Adding,

“A lot of tradies lack that life experience that I have. I got an ABN a few years back and rub shoulders with the trade community while getting trade prices. In many ways I think I’m the father a lot of these young blokes never had. Like I said happy to help”

What makes the service he provided even more touching was that just 6 months ago, old mate tried to have a crack at his own wiring. A decision that landed him in hospital for the day. We asked him about that and he said,

“Any good sparky has copped a boot! Sure most don’t need an ambulance but you get that on the big jobs!”

You sure do.
