The WA Government has told Alcoa that it is not permitted to mine within 2km of Perth’s drinking water source in the Perth Hills.
Naturally, Alcoa doesn’t get why everyone is harping on about drinking water so much, with the official company position being that drinking water tastes much better when enriched with sweet, sweet shareholder value.
We spoke to a source close to the project who said Peth didn’t know what it was missing out on,
“You ever had a big ol glass of dividends? How about a refreshing squirt of a stock market pump? No? Well get into it, shits all over boring H20 or whatever you normies like to hydrate with”
They went on to say that pandering to a bunch of hicks in some backwater City in the middle of nowhere wasn’t going to result in juicy executive bonuses. Adding,
“Your water tastes like ass anyway, I’d rather sip on that delicious Flint water over in Michigan”
Nevertheless, it appears WA is hellbent on holding Alcoa to the lowest acceptable standard they can.
2km. Yay?
