VFL grants Collingwood access to “Wharfie Time” to assure desired Pendlebury outcome

In a move that has shocked the footy world, Collingwood has been granted permission to deploy “Wharfie Time” if Pendlebury’s milestone match is looking at all in ending in a West Coast victory.

For the uninitiated, Wharfie Time is a powerful force unleashed by Flagmantle supporters to will their team over the line in times of hardship. Some say its the rage of a blue-balled fanbase that has had enough of waiting in the shadows of mediocracy.

It may not be fully understood but it has seen Freo go on a 9 game win streak this season, making it hot property to say the least.

We spoke to a VFL insider who told The Times it was highly unorthodox to grant another team access to their force but it was for the greater good, adding,

“Do you know how stupid the VFL is going to look if West Coast roll Collingwood? Let’s not pretend they chose this fixture for an easy win, so they are leaving nothing to chance, victory at all costs!”

Naturally, Freo fans are livid at the decision and will betraying everything they stand for this weekend to barrack for West Coast in protest.

No amount of showering is likely to make them feel clean after that display.
