The AFL or VFL as its more commonly known has confirmed Nick Daicos has also been given permission to wear a Joffa-gold number on his jumper for Pendlebury’s milestone game against the Eagles.
In a statement provided exclusively to The Times the VFL states that Pendle’s 433rd game is a time for Australia to praise the hard work Nick Daicos has done in his breakout 5 seasons of AFL footy.
A VFL insider told The Times it’s not tacky at all, adding,
“They are also going to change the song to side by side we cash grab togther. Think about it, double the merch! They will both wear something like 100 of the gold jumpers throughout the game so it’ll be quite a big windfall for Collingwood and the AFL”
A few haters in the footy community have called it a garish display of VFL pro-Collingwood wankery.
It’s understandable but ignorant to think allowing Nick Daicos the privilege to wear gold on this special occasion is anything put a fitting tribute.
After all, Nick has played 103 of the best games ever seen by a player in the history of AFL. In fact, the best 103 games to be played by any future player either.
Just ask BT or Gary “lunch cuttin” Lyon.
