Secret Harbour is waking up to the dawn of a new age. Not only did they vote to leave the EU but they have now erected an enormous red wheelie bin to commemorate the by-election result.
The giant bin is a nod to the only policy put forward by One Nation to usurp the formerly safe Labor seat and to many it’s a symbol of them wanting their rubbish collected more often.
We spoke to a resident of Secret Harbour who said she had already dropped off some soiled nappies as an offering to their new shrine, adding,
“We will all be safe under the watchful eye of the giant bin. In the giant bin we trust. We will never run out of bin space again. ALL HAIL THE BIN”
At that point, a large group of orange-clad people emerged from the surrounding bushes all chanting glory to the giant red bin.
The bizarre scenes have led many to speculate that Big Bin was behind the One Nation Campaign. Had the voters inadvertently sold themselves out to the interests of the shadowy trash industry?
Is this a metaphor? Only time will tell.
