Transperth tells Freo fans to get to traino now to ensure they make it in time for tomorrow’s game

Transperth has told Freo fans that if they don’t want to miss the first quarter of tomorrow’s final against Hawthorn they’d better get to the traino immediately.

The warning comes after line faults last home game caused quite the kerfuffle with many fans wondering if they were ever going to escape the jam-packed stations & stationery trains.

We spoke to a Flagmantle faithful who said while in a perfect world the train service would be guaranteed, he accepted this was not a perfect world, adding,

“I’ve actually been at the train station since Monday. I just want to be sure I get to my seat in time, there is a whole community of Freo fans here, we’ve really bonded over the experience, some are still lost from the last shitshow”

Some punters note that even if they got to the station 30 hours early they weren’t confident that would guarantee a timely arrival. With one telling The Times,

“Nah, don’t trust ’em, I’m going to join the Thursday arvo peak hour now I think and yeah maybe get close enough to the stadium to just abandon my car in the gridlock and indulge in a little Wharfie Time, that’s a common tactic Freo fans use for these Thursday evening games”

Thinking outside the box. Nice.
